Generic
you are generic…
when children like us –
‘get screwed over’ –
in our childhood
we either retract –
or we collapse
we react and become strong
the events we experience
shaping our character
when we collapse
and never get the support
or the love we need
or bandages for the wound
that just seem to bleed
then we just become generic
a generic, ‘screw up’
letting the past haunt them
and more importantly letting it win
display predictable –
psychological traits
left outside in the cold
fumbling for the keys to the gate
you are generic…
