Legacy
his awful legacy
lives on in your eyes
in every tear you cry
and every, i do not know why
it resides inside
painting the walls of your soul
the dullest colour imaginable
his awful legacy
lived on through the childhood
that grounded you down
grounded your smile
and grew your frown
it lived on in the question
and the lack of self esteem
confidence and crazy direction
his awful legacy
lives on in your head
cries onto the pillow in your bed
seeps out in the things you said
as they desperately look for affection
and hope to be read
