Something to Remember

you pushed and pushed
i said to you…
but you did not listen
i can push back harder
i can be more spiteful
i can be more petty
i can be more cruel
and i am not proud of that
but it is a fact
and you were warned
you pushed and pushed
and now in your deep hurt
and all consuming anger
you have learned that i do
i push back harder
and as the pain lingers
the next time you bully someone
it may be something to remember
