A Merry Dance – Written Friday 2nd November 2001 (Aged 26)

A Merry Dance

was it fate or chance
that lead you on a merry dance
when did you let go
and not let in
the soup kitchen is a street away
put the paper in a bin
do not let the hope stray
the shelter is a cloud of hope
that is what they say
was it life or death,
that lead you to question everything
or believe it was a personal test
was it fate or chance
that lead you on a merry dance
do live by the poems,
or by the lance
