Please

please do not leave me
you know i feel fine
please would you choose me
this dreamscape does not have to be mine
you know we could leave
you know that i ache
and something deeper waits
please do not say those things
you know the loneliness they bring
and you know how life is
sometimes it seems to skip a beat
let’s move from the rocks
and let’s soak up some heat
please don’t say no more
velvet illusions are not solutions
and the darkness is my confusion
please do not go away
i should have known better
let’s wait to meet our fate
