I Have Let It Go

i have let it go
i have stopped it flowing in my veins
i have let it drift downstream
time to move on
silence that silent scream
crowning people in glory
it never really works
all we do is leave
and curse so much hurt
you can think of angels
but it is the devil who is at work
i have let it go
the wind has swept it away
there was commitment
but sometimes we choose to forget
i have let it go
no more ringing up late at night
and what is there to show
so, i have let it go
