Tonight – Written Tuesday 17th October 2000 (Aged 25)

Tonight

tonight is good
tonight is okay
the rain is shallow
but tonight i will let it in
it does not need to feel hollow
i went out to find a street
i found the cobblestones
and another heartbeat
tonight is like my friends
different and special
strange to the touch and so real
we will do alright by the day
by night,
we will dream it all away
tonight is good
tonight is okay
i feel so alive
likes the trees, the leaves,
like you and me
like the bird released
tonight is good
tonight is a feast
