Ticket – Written Monday 26th July 1999 (Aged 24)

Ticket

i need a ticket
a ticket for freedom
a ticket to hit the blue
a ticket for travel
to get to you
you are one destination
i do not want to pass
you are one place
that i want to be at
i need a ticket
a ticket to fly from this place
to get to your pretty smiling face
it is a journey between two colours
from grey to something bright
from the dark to the light
i need a ticket
and i am going to do everything i can
i have one half of the puzzle
if we join hands
then the puzzle will be complete
