One Year From Now
thinking about you and me
and in one year from now
where are we going to be?
still dangling like, ‘want to be lovers’
like ‘kids’ building an imaginary world –
from their duvet covers
thinking about you and me
the expense and the complications
i suspect this will cost us dearly
there is a heavy price on this situation
but through it, all feelings come through clearly
thinking about you and me
and in one year from now
where are we going to be?
you have the potential to change my life
to alter its erratic course
make it more like, plain sailing
and you could steady the galloping horse
thinking about and me
it is not like this situation can be forgot
thinking about you and me
think about you such a lot
