Grant a Wish
perhaps i have looked for you –
in the wrong places
i feel our connection
absolutely,
and i feel us falling
to some unknown destination
in latter years,
i have sometimes wondered
if i can feel at all
it is a long time
since i have anticipated
someone’s words with excitement
listened to their voice
with intensity and certainty
and here now, in the background
they play marc bolan on the radio
as if,
that is a further sign
as if we need anymore signs
we can see them all
it does feel like,
you have arrived to mend and fix
clean up chaos,
and grant a wish
