Skipped Heartbeats
i would love to enjoy falling in love
instead of being scared to death
it takes my heartbeats,
and my breath
i would love to be relaxed
instead of these chattering teeth
and the verge of a heart attack
jump in carefully
but still it makes an almighty splash
i would love to love,
falling in love
feel carefully held
and not with a push and a shove
dreaming of a safe bet
but here i am
shaking on the ledge
i would love to enjoy falling in love
but.. it is so scary
