Hospital Chair
sitting here
in a hospital chair
the author of letters
looking so much better
the ice removed
the opened eyes
i thought about it
and where we could have gone
you have changed
and tried to heal
learning about yourself
learning it is fine to feel
i saw the courage
radiate from you
the eyes sparkling
as they used to
sitting there
in a hospital chair
somewhere in the city
deserving only support
admiration and never pity
