Look After Your Afterself – Written Thursday 4th November 2010 (Aged 35)

Look After Yourself

look after yourself
sit there
looking desirable
all these thoughts
are so loveable
is seems unattainable
should i wait?
pull up a chair
sit there
waiting for you –
to pull up a chair
and sit close to me
is there a lighthouse
for the boat in the sea
be honest,
it only ever waved at me
do you not think
i was fooled
by a childhood
that turned into a paperchase
that failed to wipe –
the tears from my face
look after yourself
