Hanging Pictures
hanging pictures
on your wall
could never seem so dull
but the movement of the sea
and the shriek of the gulls
only serves to remind me –
of all life’s pitfalls
and if its bark is worse than its bite
it is still a pitbull
hanging pictures
on your wall
of wild ocean views
where the ship just looks so small
so large in the sea it sails upon
and who is having a ball?
who is feeling down?
no tuxedo and no ballgown
hanging pictures on your wall
of dreams you would like to have
that you are dying to share
life could never seem that dull
if only we could shake off the despair
and we would feel full
