You Will Be Part of My Life

you will be part of my life
if that is what you want
no time for melancholy look back
maybe i will find you
in that place i have always dreamed of
i cannot halt the avalanche of time
just as i could never –
make you truly mine
you will be part of my life
in all your independent beauty
i am sorry for not being honest
and assuming the worse
i never meant to give you that impression
or cause you such hurt
i would be honoured if you turned up
and wanted to be part of my life
i will be here waiting
anticipating our journey together
you will be art of my life
