Therapy Session Shared
they talk of trauma childhood trauma
early years events
when they talk
do they talk about others
or is it just theirs
is every outburst
a therapy session shared
they shocked me
made me think
her rose petal words
replaced with some
that had a much harder stink
her prejudice
was an unwelcome garland of flowers
which weighed down
my solid hours
they talked of mental health
as if they were experts
in everybody else
i left our conversations
troubled and concerned
such situation with people
is where the harsh lessons are learned
