Wilt
do not let me wilt
under a quilt of such guilt
or melt,
under the weight
of childhood felt
do not let me wilt
under a quilt of guilt
and a sky of overcast shame
do not let me wilt
under a quilt of guilt
or melt,
under the fuzzy feelings
of childhood felt
let me be focused
and part of the hopeful belt
do not let me melt
