I Know The World Has Fallen Apart

i have taken a battering
over the last few weeks
i know,
the world has fallen apart
well, the, ‘western world’
the, western world,
which might just realise –
the problem is capitalism
but.. that may be too much
because that truth has a final realism
as we all lose,
to the power of neoliberalism
but.. i have taken a –
an almighty battering –
over the last few weeks
i know,
there is a wider, societal –
looming mental health crisis
which, in fact, is already here
but my eyes….
they have daily, been washed out by tears
