Slow Day – Written Between February and June 1995 (Aged 20)

Slow Day

i wish it was tomorrow
the day is going really slowly
really, i wish you would phone
the days are too slow, and, well,
i just do not know
there is nothing to do,
and there is nothing coming through
i wish i was drinking, or thinking
maybe i could count the clouds
whilst i am busy sleeping
it is a slow day and i want it to go away
