Brain of Wood
i look at others –
those who have come to a similar age
i feel sad
that emotionally i am in this mess
i saw others, brave like warriors –
with a good heart in their chest
i look at my friends
and i know, i know we are all different
but does this ever end?
i found my, ‘soulmate’
but they could never come to fruition
come on, just let me sail away
surely, to our hearts we should always listen
i scan the world around me
and i look at others
i look at how they attempt to solve this puzzle
find someone else
and in bed, just curl up and nuzzle
his notion of greater good
they are warriors with swords of steel
the only thing is, i seem to have a brain of wood
