Working Through the Pilgrimage of Life
attitude is important
and i should do more
i should work things through
working through,
the pilgrimage of life
on a highway littered with plans –
which fell off or fell through
then i pull over to the service station
and the hotel is beautiful and it is you
working through,
the pilgrimage of life
trying to run in the ocean
adopting a million points of view
straight off the rack
and making your way to the next square
then the dice goes against you
and you have to move six spaces back
onto marsh from beautiful sand
but as the plane starts its descent
i see you, and i begin to understand
the plane feels like it is heaven sent
and nothing matches the feel of your hands
attitude is important
i should have worked this out
but i do not want things to be any different
working through,
the pilgrimage of life
