Give Me Your Hand
i would like to say the past –
had started an adulthood revolt
or that,
it had crashed through my sky
like an unwelcome thunderbolt
but that is not the case
give me your hand
and feel my face
tears do not have to stain nor occupy –
one little space
i would like to say i hate
because that emotion drives some people on
but if it was ever here
it is long gone
my numbness and still like stance
reveals nothing at all
no angry words exchanged for nothing
and i would like to say
that it meant something
