Yes and Please but No Thank You
it is two in the morning
lamp oil is in short supply
but moonshine warms the mind
and tantalises the eyes
it is seven in the morning
scrambling out of bed
for another day,
of yes and please –
when all i want to say is no thank you
i would like to spare my knees
from serving those who hound
it is four in the afternoon
my headspace is full of deskspace
and need to be home soon
