A Moment in Time
why me?
i hate sticking out
i could just walk away
re model what i say
i do not like it
perhaps i have become –
way too defensive
when they eventually removed the paper
it left me far too sensitive
but,
maybe i just do not want –
to be the butt of a joke
but for heaven’s sake
i will make sure i stay afloat
why me?
is it not a case of keeping quiet
there has to be a stop sign
one way,
a no entry sign
a way out
or a way that does not mind –
being on my watch
and i watch every moment of time
