For A While I Danced For Them – Written Monday 14th September 2009 (Aged 34)

For A While I Danced For Them

they have let the friendship go –
down a river that rapidly flows
they let it fly with the sound of a crow
to a place that we never know
they have decided to let it go
and now, i have completed my turn
danced as a complete fantasy,
a moment to relieve the tedium –
of a relationship cooked on medium
is this meant to send a message
and am i meant to rant and rave
all it tells me is that they were –
never really a friend
not when it so easily comes to and end
or it fails to take the joint bends
or even manage to make amends
but for a while, i did dance for them
and i did illuminate their life
perhaps in a way in which i could never be
i guess that is when i become me
of course they ended it so quickly
and a true friendship will never be
