Hold Another Woman – Written Monday 28th September 2009 (Aged 34)

Hold Another Woman

hold another woman
check –
i am not clutching at straws
that –
i can still open doors
that –
all my words have a pause
check –
that i am not bored
that is not a horror film
that i need to fast forwards
hold another woman
not sure where it is going
this weight of expectation
we could be travelling
do we talk about our living
as the film is now showing
should we just sit in silence
enjoying the never knowing
wind up on a downwards stream
me and her frantically rowing
al the things we could be
now start going
hold another woman
check i have some doors
look further forwards
hope we are not clutching at straws
if you want to be mine
then i absolutely want to be yours
