Simple
one book,
one god,
death, crucifixion, all that
magic so simple
rabbits from hats
good, evil,
haven, hell,
a simple set of morals
truth and lies that we must not tell
if only it was that simple
if only my mindscape was that narrow
then everything would be simple
no thinking, no sinking
god here, here on my doorstep
convincing me it is all okay
but i see beyond that
strangely, I do, each and every day
one book,
give me the complete volume
well it never ends
from when we die to where we begin
it is anything, anything but simple
