A New World
as the life i one knew
falls away
another one grows
and in the breeze,
it starts to sway
different from what went before
different rooms
different doors
same old me,
perhaps with the same old flaws
as this new world forms
i set out and explore
suddenly it changes,
and more of this world opens up
i begin to respond to its sights and sounds
its small and its touch
as my old world, to the past, it is bound
