Drown Out the Screams
she cries into her coffee
the morning cries with her
i cry in the morning
i cry in my sleep
seven days a week
but it is okay,
it is only seven days
seven is lucky for some
she cries into her evening meal
i cry for how i feel
i cry at the expense
i cry for the bill
she cries into her partners arms
she thinks he has the answer
but they cause the harm
she wants the realness
but she is scared of what may be
i cry with her
but the tears never dilute dreams
or drown out the screams
