Scraps of Felt – Written Monday 6th December 1999 (Aged 24)

Scraps of Felt

so what i felt
started to melt
in the heart of reality
you want to be loved
you want all the feeling
your want is a cry for help
and i was leaving
what i thought i felt
had already started to melt
dreams not made of velvet
but scraps of felt
the heat of reality
well its claimed another victim
my feelings are its fatality
it could have been better
if only you had let it be
if only you had not pushed me away
everything could have been so good
so what i felt
started to melt
dreams not made of velvet
but in fact, scraps of felt
