The Future is in Disguise
the future is in disguise
do not wait
do not leave me behind
i have got to know
do you need me
will you hold me
will you make things right
will you get dressed –
and come out tonight
do not forget,
when it is about midnight
i might flinch
i might start to look –
for the black witch
the future is in disguise
it has got a pattern of lies
tell me the answer
i have got to know
i want to be the chancer
i want to take the opportunities
others do not see
others do not dare
i want to be one step ahead
i want to be always there
riding the sky on the mane of a dragon
who knows how to fly
that is the future in disguise
James Garratt – 1994
