Holding Plastic – Written Between Tuesday 15th February 1994 and November 1994 (Aged 18/19)

Holding Plastic Hands

everything is good
life is good,
especially in an easy chair
everything goes down
you fall helplessly
no one grabs your hand
no one is around
feeling, reeling,
living only for today
tomorrow is beyond the horizon
just like what you see
standing on top of the stairs
do not fall to the bottom
it has taken a long time,
to get to the top
and the way you feel,
that means a lot
holding plastic hands
making fake things
feeling fake dreams
people do it all the time
convincing nobody else
just trying to show some love
really trying to convince themselves
