A Life People Lead

there is a life people lead
there is a way ahead
but we will never find it
we are not dead,
we still listen –
to words that are said
and in the the morning
we still take each day
for what it is worth
we have been doing it
since our birth
hold me,
tell me you need me
i need you
i need that what you have got
and i have to know
what it is that you do
before i forget
that we are going nowhere
and i am heading for ruin
there is a time for everything
and somehow, living is for now
