Disappearing Act
She told me a story
in a blanket tent at night
and in the morning
everything was alright
she held me tight
she was cold
she cooked me some toast
then she disappeared
my lover had been a ghost
but she had been the best
so I ate the toast
looked around and left
as I walked out of the front door
the house changed
it was not the same any more
I ran, and that is a fact
I remembered the lover
who had done a disappearing act
far away,
and I have not been the same since
until this day
