Gin and Tonic – Written Monday 31st October 1994 (Aged 19)

Gin and Tonic

she is a spendaholic
she is an alcoholic
she is a drip eyed dragon
living a life on gin and tonic
and ready salted crisps
she is everything that is bad to us
she needs the attention
she is in a home –
where you have to pay
if you want to use the phone
she is in a home
where they have a visitors day

she wants to be a superhero
super bionic
but she cannot get though –
the bars in her room
she is living a life on gin and tonic
but she is going to break out soon
you never know what she will be
she is so intelligent, so much so
that she has lost it mentally
she has not really got it
now she is living on gin and tonic
and instead of one, she can see three
she is a part of all of us
a part of you and me
