Disguise
they said
it was a disguise
a way
for me to hide
how little they know
i have always
been on show
they said
i only like you
when your
vulnerability is on show
do they need my inside
somehow aglow
to guide them home
well the lights shine bright
when we feel alone
there is no disguise
i have always
been an open book
it just depends
on where you look
and the words you read
maybe it is what chapters
you choose to believe
