Childhood – Written Tuesday 15th February 1994 and October 1994 (Aged 18/19)

even lonely people
get off somewhere
supergirl is still there
just before sonic
dennis the menace is growing up
but still lives in a comic
my mind is all strange
desperate dan,
got caught out
and he is not such a man
whilst sidney and toots
are on the end of attacks
psychologists call the shots
whilst bash street school suffers from cutbacks
even lonely people
remember their childhood
they would love to go back again
even if the thing they remember the most
is all the pain
do you want to go back
and live again, to change
minnie the minx means so much
as the egyptians and the sphinx
remain out of touch
as world with a an ancient jinx
give me a chance
and i will give you my world
ask me to dance
and i will promise not to grow old
stay with me,
and you will never be cold
