This Feeling Needs to Leave

you are the only person
who got to me
and i hope you know it
i know in reality,
that perhaps –
you are not the only one
but when you are in a room
i know how it is
when you brush past
and in your tactile way
you touch my arm
something happens inside
and the time stops still
it is good
and i know how i feel
but that wonderful feeling
now has to say goodbye
it cannot stay
and it needs to move on
it would love a victory
and for love to have won
but this feeling needs to leave
head towards a setting sun
just know i once loved you –
thought only of you
and that i gave it my all
