Goodnight and Sweet Dreams

when you said
good night and sweet dreams
i was just lost
a teenager all over again
feeling ten feet high
catching the breeze
and a pretty woman’s eye
why do you make me feel –
like i have not felt in ages
is this really real
or just one of those phases
when you said
good night and sweet dreams
something touched my inner being
emotion and hope, forever feeling
