I Cannot Forget – Written March 2000 (Aged 25)

I Cannot Forget

i could not forget
i could not remember
six years,
it is hardly a sentence
but it feels like december
i could not forget the crying
the words said,
and all the lying
i should not forget
how i broke you in two
but how your life changed
and then made you
i would hold you
but it does not make it better
i would be true
but i am like the weather
it feels strange
and guilt is a dishonest game
i will not forget
it is all to easy to remember
