Self Destruction
i kicked a habit
that was destroying me
i locked out something that –
i did not want to be
it was not drugs
it was something else
and it made me think
so i kicked a habit
as i started to sink
cold turkey is not enough
and away from the brink
i see the damage of a touch
i kicked a habit
in the most dramatic fashion
but the wind was cold
and the fears, always lashing
have you noticed what i have done
a smog that pollutes my lungs
is like a puzzle or pure code
one that is finally undone
i kicked a habit
