Silent Rules – Written Friday 28th April 2000 (Aged 25)

Silent Rules

you have always been beautiful
near or far,
but when you no longer fall to my reach
well,
the deepness and the depth of sadness
washed over to me and crept down to my feet
near or far,
the days go on
we still dream so crazy
and i know,
you have hurt me like i have hurt you
but tonight the pain felt physical
you have always been beautiful
and though i may complain
it feels so cruel
i would do anything to numb this pain
but we obey silent rules and try to start again
