The Code for the Alarm

it felt cool and calm today
relaxed
like the code for the alarm
was known and understood
and the air was enthused
without a lack of obvious blues
but it was far from –
being a vista of grey clouds
that just floated away
it felt fine today
my mind was not raging –
and not working too hard
in fact it was quite engaging
and for once, taking part
it felt cool and calm today
