You Can’t Fish With a Road
you can’t fish without a rod
and a lake which is dry
or has no fish,
and without a genie
there is no wish
you cannot berate a priest
they believe there is a penthouse waiting
and that life is just a lease
you cannot cycle with no wheels
and you cannot access relationships
when you do not really feel
you cannot fish without a rod
and a lake that is dry
or has no fish,
and without a reason
it is hard not to miss
i forget the your first time
your first fateful kiss
it was a discovery of sorts
a new found religion with a realistic god
so if you lake is dry
you cannot fish without a rod
but remember the attack
it is always worth rummaging around the loft
