They Attack – Written Tuesday 16th October 2001 (Aged 26)

They Attack

they bomb, then they rebuild
and at the charity shop
there is an appeal
they are a poor country
without three square meals
so we pay a fortune in taxes
fund the military
just to attack them
they try to justify insanity
we have to pay for them
and what they destroy
would it not be easier,
instead of expensive military toys
just to pay for aid
we pay for the bombing
we pay to rebuild
that appears to be crazy to me
how does it make you feel?
surely solutions exist in education
this does not seem real
yet they continue, continue to bomb
