It Is No Good For Me
these feelings will not do
they are no good for me
and they are no good for you
i need to look beyond
i need your closeness
but you are long gone
and fantasies have turned to stone
these feelings are not good company
i would rather be alone
i could have a drink or two
but that is no good for me
and that is no good for you
anyway, i know that will not work
it will take me away
but only for an hour or two
and inevitable coming down
is no good for you
and it is no good for me
