Litany

could you be close tonight
just be close, my guardian angel
be close, you portal of light
my guiding sprite
my unseen watcher
my map in those astral dreams
a former human being
now in your –
most beautiful and purest form
be close tonight
be right here by my side
be there tomorrow
just like the everlasting light –
of my inner beliefs
i am not ashamed
i am touching spirits in my mind
they call out my true name
into the world we bind
be close tonight
you know who you are
your name i need not reveal
for you know, you know how i feel
in your, oh so surreal way
you make everything seem so real
