Acceptance As a Child – Written Wednesday 15th October 2008 (Aged 33)

Acceptance As a Child

acceptance as a child
somehow, it ran away
self belief and confidence
had always strayed
reaching out,
became, somehow afraid
as an adult,
you can be left,
searching, wanting, yearning
even if you gulp down experience
and you become a slave to learning
a star, always shining
inside, those early years remain burning
so, when you accept me
without question
for who i am
i realised i have defined my love
and that is something amazing to understand
