The Voice Inside
poetry,
it is the inner voice
not always expressed
the love, the hope
the dreams, the fear
the distant truth
they wish to draw near
the hand dipped in
in an attempt to make it clear
poetry,
some people think
it makes them a better person
those that know,
know it just makes a person
poetry,
the tugboat of the ill defined
the resurrection
the inner sight of the tragic mind
the beauty of inner dreams
that we reach to find
the voice out that shouts from within
that writes as if the crayons are alive
poetry,
the mirror, for the voice inside
