Chateau of Glass
in a chateau of glass
you recline and dine
and you are never caught out
as you move so fast
and no one can shatter your illusion
in a chateau of glass
you cry to the sound of your confusion
you have to get away,
someone stole your day
and spilled their thoughts on the world
as it slides into a moral abyss
but for every one caught,
there is always one missed
as you well know, out of reach
in a chateau of glass
no one can hold you to ransom
you escape the farce
and reflect in your mirrors so handsome
high up the people, they talk
but it is just a whisper in the trees
on the tightrope you never work
and you have never begged on your knees
in your chateau of glass
you can criticise as you please
but there is something they say
about people in glass houses
not that you care anyway
you have a full deck of cards
as you are, in a chateau of glass
